Rapeseed flowers in large clusters, golden and vibrant, are visible on every street and alley, behind every house, and on idle vacant land, complementing the village's well-arranged houses; whether viewed from afar or observed in detail, they exude the atmosphere of spring, delighting the eye! This village is free from urban hustle and bustle, filled with the fragrance of flowers, quiet and serene, imbued with the beauty of nature and the smoke of daily life.
According to reports, since 2019, the Guyan Town Party Committee has, guided by the spirit of city and county rural work conferences, vigorously rectified rural living environments, actively improved the appearance of rural areas, and fully leveraged the leading role of Party members and cadres. It organized villagers to sort out and clear up the clutter scattered behind their houses, cleaned up dilapidated houses that had been vacant for a long time, and managed vacant land and village wasteland.
At the same time, it called on the whole town's residents to sow rapeseed seeds on the streets and alleys, behind houses, on idle vacant land and under trees, in order to beautify the environment, increase the overall utilization rate of the land, and also bring economic benefits to the masses. With the principle of 'who plants, who harvests,' and providing 50 cents in seed subsidies to villagers who planted rapeseed seeds in vacant land within the village, based on the village's actual population. This not only enhanced the village's 'appearance,' but also brought income to the villagers. According to incomplete statistics, the rapeseed area sown in all villages and towns in the town reached nearly 500 acres.
