Yunnan Province Tourism Investment and Ctrip Reach Strategic Partnership to Support Rapid Recovery of the Tourism Market

Yunnan Net News (reporter Peng Xi) reported on March 27th that Yunnan Provincial Tourism Investment Co., Ltd. and Ctrip Group signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement. According to the agreement, the two parties will complement each other's strengths in scenic areas, large transportation, homestays, and integrated service systems, and achieve in-depth integration.

It is reported that Ctrip Group is the first in Asia and the second globally; Yunnan Investment Tourism is the only provincial professional tourism enterprise in Yunnan, and its subsidiaries, Dali Tourism Group and Jin Qiao Tourism Group, are regional leading enterprises.

According to the agreement, the two parties will jointly launch efforts around brand marketing, content accumulation, product integration, whole-area promotion, and precise passenger bringing; they will jointly launch the Yunnan Provincial Tourism Market Revival Plan, leveraging Yunnan Investment Tourism's existing resources to deeply develop advantageous destinations, integrate key regional tourism resources, break through strategic cooperation between all prefectures and cities in Yunnan Province, and actively carry out destination integration marketing. On the other hand, combining Ctrip's resource advantages and Ctrip's Revival Project, strengthen post-epidemic promotion and marketing, allowing Yunnan Province to achieve a comprehensive and orderly recovery of its tourism market. At the same time, the two parties will be committed to leveraging the 1+1>2 aggregation effect, further amplifying the effectiveness of activities, integrate local tourism resources, expand customer markets, and boost the revitalization of the province's tourism industry.

The agreement also stipulates that the two parties will actively explore innovative combinations of tourism resources, destination recommendations, and marketing and promotion system upgrades; they will continue to drive tourism product research by deeply mining Yunnan's tourism resource characteristics, integrate fragmented scenic area resources covering eating, staying, traveling, playing, buying, and entertainment, and achieve a whole-scene tourism experience, accelerating the realization of 'tourism plus' industrial integration. Leveraging marketing platform and innovation advantages, they will establish an online flagship store on the Ctrip platform to build a Yunnan marketing and promotion system, promote Yunnan tourism to move towards specialization and high quality.

Yunnan Provincial Tourism Investment Co., Ltd. General Manager Wang Yundong said that the two parties will conduct in-depth integration of tourism elements across the industrial chain, provide corresponding segmented products for high-end and sightseeing markets, and provide tourists with one-stop services, achieve whole-scene tourism, and accelerate the realization of 'tourism plus' industrial integration. 'For example, we will provide tourists with a 'mini travel agency' product package, where tourists can independently select transportation, small transportation, tickets, homestays, and other tourism elements, with very favorable prices, which is a 50% discount for self-driving tourists.'

Ctrip Group representative (Nuan Dazhi) believes that signing a strategic agreement with Yunnan Investment Tourism is to deepen the strategic cooperation between the two parties, combining Yunnan Investment Tourism's resource advantages and industrial advantages in Yunnan to help Yunnan's cultural and tourism market quickly recover and revitalize the cultural and tourism industry post-epidemic. Ctrip will further leverage its advantages in large platforms, big data, big products, and big traffic, provide online marketing subsidies, and feed back into the tourism market, utilizing big data to precisely analyze and customize subsidy strategies, with a higher leverage preparation efficiency to help Yunnan's cultural and tourism industry achieve precise and rapid revitalization, complete high-quality development and transformation, and jointly create a Yunnan-characteristic tourism industry model.

It is reported that the signing of the strategic cooperation framework agreement marks the future joint efforts of Yunnan Investment Tourism and Ctrip Group to help the post-epidemic tourism market recover, develop together, and continue to promote the healthy development of Yunnan's tourism industry.
