Fushun Yue'e Island Ecological Park: Recommendation of Scenic Spots, Issue 6 – Beautiful Scenery and Water
Fushun Yue'e Island Ecological Park is located on the south bank of the Hun River in Fushun City, at the confluence of the ancient City River and the Hun River. It was officially opened to tourists in October 2011, after construction began in February of the same year. It is an open, eco-type waterfront park. It is a national 3A-level scenic spot.
The longest east-west stretch of Yue'e Island Ecological Park is 3.4 kilometers, and the north-south widest point is 0.54 kilometers, forming a crescent-shaped island. The planned construction area within the island is 1,890,000 square meters, including 1,360,000 square meters of island area, 530,000 square meters of wetland area, 974,000 square meters of greening area, 220,000 square meters of water area, and 166,000 square meters for roads, bridges, squares, buildings, docks, and wooden walkways.
The overall layout of Yue'e Island Ecological Park is 'Five Zones and One Belt' – namely, the wetland buffer zone, the Spring Bloom and Green Improvement Zone, the Hongqin Fangzhou Zone, the Autumn Reflection and Colorful Zone, the Flower Island Reception Zone, and the Hun River Ecological Landscape Belt, with a Hun River running through the park in parallel, forming a beautiful inner lake and a magnificent river landscape.
Ecology and returning to nature are the main characteristics of Yue'e Island Ecological Park. Yue'e Island Ecological Park takes 'the Moon' as the main theme, giving it a 'moon' flavor and ecological features. The island is covered with vibrant flowers and lush vegetation.
Yue'e Island Ecological Park is based on 'Moon' culture, giving it a 'moon' flavor and ecological features. It has designed Blue Moon Bay Square, Yue'e Bay Square, Moonlit Bay Square, and a five-star hotel, making it a great place for citizens to relax, exercise, entertain and visit, as well as a conference reception venue.
At the viewing points of the park, there are (Lán Yuè Tíng -) and (Zǐ Yuè Tíng -) set up, echoing across the lake, which is a good place for visitors to watch the moon. You can overlook the beautiful Inner Lake – Yuehu's exquisite beauty, and the lake water is as blue as the sky. You can also admire the Hun River's grandeur, and the Yuehu features a stunning water dance show and music fountain, which is a good choice to see at night.
On the white egret embankment between Yuehu and the Hun River, you can appreciate the beautiful scenery of a thousand-mu wetland, and the sight of white herons flying and the Hun River's grand spectacle. There is also a beautiful garden, and in summer you can see a profusion of flowers.
