Name the most famous scenic spot in your hometown, and what is your hometown?
My hometown is in Hebei, which isn't a major tourist destination in China and doesn't have many nationally renowned attractions. 'Mountain Villa' () is a place that everyone knows as a famous scenic spot.
When discussing hometown attractions, we're focusing on the provincial level, not delving into the details of individual cities and counties, as not every county has exceptional tourism resources.
I visited Yichun Mountain Villa () in 2012 during the winter. As one of the 'Four Great Gardens' in China, it's a royal garden. The architecture combines the styles of southern and northern Chinese gardens, showcasing a perfect blend of the two. It took 89 years, from the Kangxi, Yongzheng, and Qianlong reigns of the Qing Dynasty, to complete.
Yichun Mountain Villa () is one of the 'Three Major Ancient Architectural Groups' in China. Its defining feature is its unique design: mountains within gardens, and gardens within mountains. There are many attractions within the villa, including Songhe Zhai (), Jinshan (), Li Zhengmen (), and Wantree Garden (), with Wantree Garden housing the Wuzhin Pavilion (), one of China's 'Four Royal Collections of Rare Books'.
The scenery at Yichun Mountain Villa () is breathtaking, with each scene offering a new perspective. The scenery is divided into four zones: the imperial palace area, the lake area, the plains area, and the mountain area, skillfully integrated with the terrain.
This is Yichun Mountain Villa (), my hometown's most famous attraction. What's your hometown? What's the most representative attraction in your hometown? Let's discuss!
