Dry Streams are Better Than Flowing Streams

A charming village with quaint houses and flowing streams – it's the dream of countless people,
What is it that so many yearn for?
A courtyard without a stream is incomplete; a garden without a stream is unthinkable,

Unfortunately, many times, it's due to neglect,
Artificial streams and lakes often dry up when they are poorly maintained, and when they do, they look unsightly,
There's a small stream that possesses a unique charm – it doesn't have the constant gurgle of flowing water, nor the gentle grace of water, yet it's more evocative,

It's called a dry stream, a meticulously crafted artificial riverbed that mimics the appearance of a dried-up river,
It utilizes a diverse range of pebbles as its foundation, aiming to create a landscape that feels 'as if it were created by man, yet naturally formed',
A winding and meandering stream is covered with a thick layer of sand,
From a distance, the sand creates the illusion of flowing water, rushing towards the horizon,

Scattered pebbles resemble submerged rocks, while the 'water' flows rapidly,
A stone bridge spans the dry stream, offering a sense of security,
Whether it's with or without water, as long as it remains, the stream remains a stream,
It flows silently in my courtyard, and within my heart, carrying an ancient Zen-like quality, forever flowing onward,
