Fire Prevention and Epidemic Control: 300 Party Cadres from Municipal Government Conduct Volunteer Services

From April 4th to 6th, the Municipal Party Committee of the Civil Affairs Bureau organized 300 civil affairs cadres and Party members as volunteers to assist QianShan Scenic Area in carrying out fire prevention, epidemic prevention and tourist guidance services.

These volunteers came from 36 units of the Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau. During the Qingming Festival holiday, they abandoned their rest days and worked from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily along the main road of 18 kilometers including the main gate, Cuicui Gate, Wululong Palace, Zhonghui Temple, and Da'an Temple, actively assisting QianShan Scenic Area with fire prevention, epidemic prevention and tourist guidance services. They were both supervisors of fire prevention and epidemic prevention and guides of civilized tourism, promptly stopping tourists from smoking, burning paper, and having picnics, dissuading tourists from some uncivilized and unsafe behaviors, and diverting traffic congestion into the scenic area, and cleaning up litter thrown by tourists.

During the period, the volunteers stopped more than 50 cases of praying with incense and ritualistic burning, conducted more than 100 times of fire prevention and epidemic prevention publicity to the masses and tourists, diverted more than 1000 times of tourists and vehicles, and cleaned up more than 100 locations of litter thrown by tourists.
