If Zhang Wuji Were to Travel Abroad, He Would Certainly Bow in Respect Here
Welcome to the series – 'Old Fei Scrapes the Earth - 02'
After Zhang Wuji relinquished his position as the leader of the Sect of Great Peace and began drawing eyebrows for Zhao Min, he grew tired of it, so he pretended to be a backpacker and started traveling abroad.
Westward bound…

This picture is included to promote a show: If I change, I'll marry Zhizhao
Arrived at the outskirts of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, and entered an inconspicuous stone gate, like this:

Old Fei filmed in Azerbaijan
Saw the small house in the courtyard, with a perpetually burning torch in the center
Zhang Wuji knelt down immediately.

Old Fei filmed at the Baku Fire Temple
Why?
This place is called the Fire Temple, one of the origins of the Zoroastrian faith
And the Sect of Great Peace originated from the Zoroastrian faith

Old Fei filmed: The Fire Temple
Azerbaijan – Azerbaijan, Azer represents fire, baijian means country; therefore, Azerbaijan means 'the country of fire'
Azerbaijan is a 'crossroads' of Eastern Europe and Western Asia, historically belonging to Iran, or Persia
As early as the 6th century BC, the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, had Zoroastrian temples – Baku's area is rich in oil and gas, and a lot of places have natural gas directly emerging from the ground, which can become a perpetually burning torch if exposed to a fire
Ancient people wouldn't have known this, they thought it was a miracle and began to worship it
So, Azerbaijan is one of the origins of Iranian Zoroastrianism

Old Fei filmed: The perpetual flame in the center of the Fire Temple
Now you see the Fire Temple is the remnants of a 18th-century building – it has been rebuilt repeatedly
The perpetual flame you see now is not the natural gas that emerged originally. The Fire Temple brought modern oil and gas wells to Baku
That's right, Azerbaijan was once a of the Soviet Union, and gained independence after the Soviet Union dissolved
Well, at least Zhang Wuji's travel time has a real perpetual flame

There's also the opinion that the Baku Fire Temple is actually a sacred place for the Hindu god Shiva. It was revered by Zoroastrians, Hindu devotees, and Sikhs in different periods
If that were the case, Zhang Wuji might have worshipped the wrong god
