Marne Valley, France: 5 Markets Granted Permission to Open Weekly
In France, the 'Chinese Town' (Huajie) reported: Recently, five municipalities in the Val-de-Marne department of France jointly sent a letter requesting permission for some markets to continue operating, including Saint-Maurice, Villiers-sur-Marne, Saint-Mandé, Sucy-en-Brie and Villeneuve-le-Roi, which have now obtained approval from the Val-de-Marne provincial government, allowing them to open once a week.

However, the opening of these markets is conditional, requiring merchants to fulfill written commitments such as arranging one-way traffic lanes, setting only one entrance and exit, providing disinfectant handwashing stations, and maintaining queue distances.
Starting Saturday, the Villeneuve-le-Roi market began operating, and Saint-Maurice operated on Sunday. Last week, 22 mayors of the province had written to the Prime Minister requesting the opening of markets. According to sources at the provincial government office, the request letters were carefully studied based on the mayors' written commitments. They stated that re-opening markets is a matter that cannot be taken lightly, and they will conduct on-site checks to ensure that individuals entering the market comply with the regulations. If they do not comply, the opening will be cancelled.
