This secluded village deep in the mountains is a National 5A scenic area, open all day, and you can't finish exploring it in a day.
Located in the transition zone of Hubei, Henan, and Anhui provinces along the Dabie Mountains, it stretches for hundreds of miles within each province, showcasing different natural landscapes. However, the most scenic is undoubtedly within Anhui, where lies the 'last piece of original forest in East China' National 5A-level scenic area, Tiandangshan.
On the map, the Golden is just a small point in the southwest of Jinzhai and Jinzhai counties, but in 1947, it was the forward command base of Liu and Deng armies' thousand-mile leap across the Dabie Mountains, a great turning point in China's revolutionary war history. The original forward command base has been rebuilt, with brick-wood structure and blue brick flooring, recreating the architectural style of the buildings 'Qin bricks, Han tiles, and Ma Tou Wall'.
The museum contains a large number of pictures, texts, and real objects that recreate the turbulent historical facts before and after the Liu and Deng armies' thousand-mile leap across the Dabie Mountains. During the Dabie Mountain period, the Liu and Deng armies overcame various difficulties, defeated the enemy, and constantly created war miracles.
Tiandangshan, formerly known as Hengshan, also known as Douyunshan, has a forest cover rate of up to 96.5%, it's a natural oxygen bar. The scenic area covers an area of 120 square kilometers, with 25 peaks over 1000 meters, and Tiandangshan's highest peak is one of the main peaks of the Dabie Mountains. Stepping into Tiandangshan, you can hear the sound of rushing water, water gathers the spirit of the mountains, the wind shakes the trees, and everything is lush and verdant.
'As you walk through Huang'e and Lu, only Tiandangshan water is the best.' Water is the soul of Tiandangshan, it creates a scene of mist and clouds, like a fairyland, it's a paradise for flowers and plants, and abundant flora and fauna. Because of this water, the ancient mountain vegetation is abundant, ancient trees are towering, and it is known as 'the last piece of original forest in East China'.
'Since ancient times, Tiandangshan has abundant water sources, especially during the rainy season, the scenic area has 40 waterfalls, the most famous is the rare 'Waterfall Group Scenic Area': Ji Ying Waterfall, Chu Lian Waterfall, Xie Yu Waterfall, Bing Jing Waterfall, Yin Gong Waterfall, with a drop of more than 40 meters, waterfalls are not far apart, and one after another display themselves to the visitors.'

The Golden gorge scenic area originates from the tectonic movement of the period 130 million years ago, which caused rock layer breakage, the base rock is about 26 billion years old Dabie complex rock. Who says rocks have no voice? If you carefully appreciate it, every ripple on each rock is telling the story of time.
Over a long period of time, whether during peace or war, the scenery of Golden has always been as beautiful as it was. When the heroes of that year saw this misty and flowing water, they would surely be comforted by the hardship they once guarded.
