Should You Book Hotels Online for Travel? You're Sure About That?
Today I browsed the web and saw an article advising against booking hotels online, listing many drawbacks. Initially, I thought it was a program or hotel promotion, as marketing accounts often try to attract attention. However, the reality was different from what I expected.

The article mainly discussed the disadvantages of booking hotels online, and I agree with the points raised. It's true that photos can't accurately judge the room's suitability, and many photos are taken after renovations, so the appearance will change over time. Furthermore, the surrounding environment of the hotel can't be accurately assessed, which could be noisy and disruptive. The 'go with the flow' suggestion was particularly persuasive.
The article is correct – booking hotels online has drawbacks, but the benefits outweigh them. During peak tourist seasons in popular destinations, it's often impossible to find a room by booking online. If you go to the destination and look for a room, it’s a nightmare! If the weather is bad, you have to stand in the rain and ask hotels one by one. That’s really unpleasant. If you're traveling with children or the elderly, it's even more complicated.

Moreover, the difference between the room and the photos is usually minimal, and even if the room is old, it’s not a major problem if it’s clean. If you want the room to always look new, you can choose a higher-priced hotel, as luxury hotels regularly renovate and repair.
Additionally, not booking a hotel online in advance and checking in directly at the destination may lead to price increases, such as when the hotel is full or the weather is bad. Booking online might also offer many discounts and lower prices. The convenience brought by the internet cannot be overstated.
