Budget Travel Guide to Iceland
Every person who loves traveling has an Iceland dream. Whether it's enjoying the Northern Lights, its ice-capped volcano moss landscapes, or those giant waterfalls.

But the end of this world is really far away, too expensive, how to afford Iceland trip? Here share some tips to save money.

Iceland expenses are divided into the following categories:
- Flights. This is a big head, generally difficult to buy special tickets below 5000, peak season tickets, casually is 9K, arrived 5/1, National Day, Spring Festival such long holidays, one or two ten thousand tickets are all over the sky. So, as long as you see 6,7 thousand tickets, you must buy it immediately. If you choose to travel during peak season, push the departure time forward 2,3 days before and after, you can still buy 6,7 thousand tickets. I went on National Day trip to Helsinki, air flight 20 plus hours, return ticket 6700, not particularly cheap, can be accepted.

- Accommodation. Iceland is expensive, the price in the low season. We booked the cheapest is 500 per night, an average of 8,9 hundred per night, the expensive can reach 2,3 thousand. But for the cheap hotels and guesthouses, the overall impression is good, the decoration is quite Nordic style, very clean, with heating and air conditioning. Last day really can't book 8,9 hundred accommodation, we settled for a hostel of 900 per night, still a single room.

Besides the room inside no independent toilet and kitchen, the decoration is also very beautiful, the public kitchen and restaurant are very large, all kitchenware is complete, there is also a sofa in the hall, with a computer.
And in Iceland, 600 plus price can experience the bus hostel.

Therefore, it is best to choose to travel in the low season, book rooms 2,3 months in advance, so there are still a lot of 800 around guesthouses and hotels.
- Rental car. This part completely depends on your itinerary and time, 10-day itinerary, rental car cost 5k starting. If you choose to travel in summer, that is the peak season to drive in Iceland, self-driving is much more convenient. Drive along the No. 1 highway completely no difficulty, 95% of the road conditions are very good, some areas, the road surface is slightly damaged, but small cars can drive. If you come to Iceland in autumn and winter, most areas in the central mountains will be closed, the northern region often has snow, although small cars can drive, but need snow driving experience.

(Iceland rental cars, tires are basically snow tires) There's also a feature of Iceland rental cars, which is insurance. Here you will buy a stone insurance and sand insurance, and the price is not cheap. Because in Iceland, except the No. 1 highway, other highways are more or less stone roads, the car drives, stones will hurt the body. The sand insurance is a little less likely to occur, only when encountering extreme big wind weather, stones will be blown up and damage the windows and hurt the car body. It is recommended to buy stone insurance and sand insurance. Often see a foreign old man leading a lot of Chinese uncles and aunts, but this is usually a package bus, itinerary is not free.
