Self-driving 1200+ Kilometers Back to Work in Yiwu and Guangzhou – ‘Smart Code Pass Through’ Smoothly Throughout the Journey Recently, migrant farmers in our province have begun their return trips to work in Yiwu and Guangzhou. Besides group chartered buses and ‘point-to-point’ transportation, some are self-driving. In Jinqiping Town, Ba’an County, several villagers drove their private cars back to Yiwu and Guangzhou. They drove approximately 1200+ kilometers east and south, arriving safely at their destinations. ‘We heard in mid-March that we could return to work, so we applied for a pass through the township. We also obtained a receiving certificate from Yiwu’s community.’ On March 17th, at 3 PM, Wenbin and his brother-in-law with a group of six drove two SUVs back to Zhejiang. ‘They showed their health code and took their temperature when entering and exiting the highway, and the journey was smooth.’ On March 18th at noon, they arrived in Yiwu City. ‘The locals were very friendly towards Hubei residents, and everything was processed according to the regulations. They can start work in two more days,’ Wenbin said.
