On December 28, 2014, the Qingyan Weiyangcheng Intercity Railway opened, and Yantai gained 'high-speed rail'. Subsequently, carriages such as 'Yantai Fairy Paradise', 'Jury', and 'Paimai', all named after 'Yantai elements', carried tourists from all over the country to this city. Domestic day trips, two-day trips to Beijing and Tianjin, and convenient railway transport enabled Yantai to officially join the 'Yantai Peninsula 1-hour Living Circle', experiencing 'weekend trips to Yantai'.
In 2015, Yantai's Puhai International Airport officially opened. Yantai Puhai International Airport is located at the central position of Yantai's tourism map, with over 30 shuttle buses operating from the city center to the airport, and more than 10 express lines to surrounding counties and cities. Convenient supporting services enhanced the airport's transportation capacity. In 2019, tourist throughput exceeded 10 million, forming a flight network pattern of 'facing Northeast Asia, connecting North and South, connecting Northwest, and radiating Southwest'. The regional hub function will further strengthen.
Last year, Yantai established the 'Self-driving Tour Alliance', launched 6 classic self-driving tour routes for Yantai's most beautiful 100km coastline, covering 'coastal touring', 'island touring', 'mountain touring', 'fresh seafood touring', 'wine tourism', and 'folk tourism'. It invited citizens and tourists to self-drive to Yantai, jointly appreciating the scenic coastline, experiencing romantic fairy-tale culture, savoring delicious seafood, and enjoying a relaxing and romantic journey.
While in Yantai, you can also enjoy a unique mode of transportation – the 17-Route Double-Decker Bus. Yantai Puhai International Airport
Yantai Puhai International Airport was constructed in 2009 and the passenger terminal building began construction in 2012. On May 28, 2015, Yantai Puhai International Airport officially opened, replacing the existing 31-year-old Leshan International Airport. The airport can take off and land large passenger aircraft such as Boeing 747 and Airbus A320. After the new airport's operation, Yantai Airport, along with Jinan Airport and Qingdao Airport, became the three major trunk airports in Shandong Province. With the Yantai Eight Angle Port, Longyan Railway, Yantai Eight Angle Port, and Wiu High Speed and National Highway mutually relying on, they formed a sea, land, and air transportation hub, further perfecting Yantai's 'three-in-one' three-dimensional transportation network.

Yantai Railway Station
In 2009, the newly built Yantai Railway Station was put into operation. The new station extends from Haigang Road to the west and connects to Youth Road Interchange to the south, and extends from Ma Road to the north and to the port access line. The new station features a high-level waiting area, with a main station building, station yard, and north and south squares. The 'City Gate' Ma steel structure was awarded the '2008 China Steel Structure Golden Award' for its rainbow-shaped arch design, with a net distance of 162 meters east-west and 114 meters north-south, a height of 61 meters, and a total steel volume of 1500 tons, making it a unique city landmark.

Yantai South Station
On December 28, 2014, Yantai South Station opened together with the Qingyan Weiyangcheng Intercity Railway. Yantai South Station is the largest station among the 7 railway stations in Yantai. There are 3 'railway bus' lines operated: 'Railway K1' connects from the Tourism World of Zifu District to Railway South Station; 'Railway K2' connects from the West Station of the Development Zone to Railway South Station; and 'Railway K3' connects from the West Extension of the Foshan District's Bus Station to Railway South Station.

'The Phoenix Rising' Luxury Cruise Ship
On November 4, 2019, 'The Phoenix Rising' arrived in Yantai. 'The Phoenix Rising' was built by Bohai Shipping at a cost of billions of yuan and is the first luxury cruise ferry type passenger ship in China. It is also the first independently designed, constructed, and operated passenger ferry ship with complete independent intellectual property rights in China, filling the gap in operating Chinese luxury cruise ferries in Asia, and once again setting the record for the largest, most powerful, safest, most intelligent, most energy-efficient and environmentally friendly, and most luxurious passenger ferry ship in Asia.

'17 Route' Double-Decker Bus
The 17-Route bus is the first tourist and sightseeing line in the city. Since its launch, it has been equipped with 20 double-decker buses. The route traverses the most bustling commercial areas, the most beautiful coastline, and all the coastal attractions, connecting numerous universities and modern residential communities, becoming a rhythmic and elegant city symbol and a cultural urban characteristic line. In October 2011, 20 brand-new, energy-efficient, double-decker gas buses were launched along the coastal road. In 2012, 'Love in 17' and 'Love in 17 Together' won out of 2000 proposals and became the brand of 17-Route, and the brand's connotation deepened from the love stories in the car's carriage to the great love of citizens and tourists, the love for Yantai, guarding civilization, and carrying the city's soul.

'The Fairy Paradise' Sightseeing Cruise Ship
In 2019, Yantai's newly developed marine tourism project, taking advantage of the city's newly added urban building light-up projects along the coast before the Chinese New Year, further developed 'Fairy Paradise – Night Shine Zifu Bay' luxury nighttime cruise products based on the original 'Zifu Bay Tourism High-Speed Line' product. Passengers can ride the 'The Fairy Paradise' luxury cruise ship for an overnight cruise along Zifu Bay, admire the coastal plaza, Fisherman's Wharf, and coastal attractions and nighttime light show, satisfying tourists' experience of Yantai's sea tour, sea fun, sea food, and sea photography.
