Most Beautiful Forest | Baishui Fangshan Forest Park: Picturesque Mountains, Tranquil and Unique
Baishui County Fangshan Forest Park is located 20 kilometers northwest of the county seat, with a total area of over 211,000 acres and a forest coverage rate of 62.8%. After nearly 60 years of careful cultivation and comprehensive protection, as well as large-scale forest firefighting and forest pest and disease control, it has become a golden mountain and silver mine for local residents.
Fangshan Forest Park was originally a state-owned Xinqiu Forestry Farm, which is currently the largest artificial afforestation base in the province. From a distance, the forests within stretch out, with deep valleys and peaks rising sharply. In the forests, a cool breeze blows, and ten thousand acres of artificial forests stretch out in undulating waves, forming a huge 'natural oxygen source'. In 2006, it was also rated as a national Grade A tourist scenic area, with an average of 60,000 visitors per year.
