When I was a child, every spring, children would gather at the big elm tree at the village head to pluck 'yu qian' (), when a large number of 'yu qian' with pale yellow or green colors entered the small baskets held by the hungry children, the greedy children eagerly, and quickly put these fragrant young vegetables with the rich spring atmosphere into their mouths, instantly, a sweet and sticky feeling resonated in the mouth, making people unable to put it down and feel happy and satisfied.
Returning home, we hand over these 'yu qian' to our mother, and we can see that our mother uses skillful hands to transform these gifts from spring, mixed with cornstarch, into one by one golden and yellow vegetable dumplings.
These lovely vegetable dumplings were placed in a steamer, cooked with charcoal fire and a large flame, after opening the pot, the entire room was filled with the fragrance of 'yu qian' and cornstarch, and the strange fragrance of combining two natural ingredients – 'yu qian' and cornstarch.
