Poem: Gazing at the River
Gaze at the river
Author: Flower Girl
Favorite pastime is strolling along the river
Clear winter day
A vast expanse of white river surface
The river flows like a gentle lady
Silent and tranquil beneath the ice
.
Spring days, the ice begins to melt
A huge ice block plunges from above
It seems like an army of thousands of soldiers rushing past
When the ice melts completely
The river is free from all restrictions
Birds circle above
Ships sail unimpeded
.
Meditate by the riverbank
The water flows before my eyes
Sometimes like an elderly man's steady steps
Sometimes like children's playful waves
Gaze towards the west
Trace its source
Flow eastward
Seek its destination
.
Return your gaze
Let the water flow through your heart
Dilute the sorrows and joys of the world
Immersed in a thousand-year-moving legend
