Before the Grain Rain Snow
In the wheat plains of Anhui Province, when talking about snow, many people are certainly not unfamiliar. However, when it comes to this year's snow, it seems strangely unfamiliar, as there haven't been many substantial snowfalls throughout the year.

This snow began to fall in the afternoon, steadily and softly. It continued falling for a whole day, and by evening, it gradually subsided.
In the world outside, it felt as though the world had frozen. It was as if one had entered a magical world of snow: roofs, eaves, and roads were all covered in silver, creating a vast and desolate scene...
Looking out from the railing, I couldn't see any vehicles on the distant roads. Scanning the horizon southwards, it seemed like the entire world was quiet, almost frighteningly so, with only the faint sound of snowflakes falling on the balcony glass.
Seeing this scene, it reminded me more of a winter snowstorm twenty years ago: the experience of walking over a hundred miles back to my hometown on foot. However, although the snow was falling again, my feelings were different. When this snow fell today, I wasn't as excited or thrilled.
But that year, that snow night, is unforgettable.
That winter, I played with my cousin and uncle at their house because I was being mischievous, but when I heard the forecast of several days of heavy snow, I returned home overnight. However, when the snow had already begun to fall, the road was slippery, and I decided to walk. It was on that afternoon, when the first snowflakes began to fall, combined with the still-unmelted snow on the ground, I took one step and slipped, walking until dusk, only halfway through the journey, and had already become a snowman.
In the wilderness, I walked alone, accompanied only by the howling wind. Suddenly, I heard a mournful bird cry in the distance, which startled me into collapsing in the snow.

Nearby, I could still hear the sound of heavy snow breaking off the branches of the wisteria trees and the whistling of the cold wind.
Although I was frightened, I continued walking, and just as I stepped onto a small path, I saw a shadow dart out and crept closer, to find it was just a rabbit, which relaxed my mood and allowed me to continue walking.
As I got closer to home, my anxiety also increased. I stepped into a shallow pit, quickly climbed out, and continued home. When I finally arrived, I realized that my clothes were soaked through from the fright and tension, and it was already 10 pm.
