Years without contacting a friend suddenly called, saying there was nothing to worry about, just wanted to talk to me. I was at work, busy with a task, said a few words and hung up in a hurry.

Late at night, after getting home, I thought about it repeatedly, worried that the friend would be polite, if something hadn't come to my attention, I called her back. We chatted for half an hour, it was really nothing, just talking about our lives.

The friend is my university classmate. She chose to stay in a comfortable and relaxed small town, and I chose to go to a big city to see the world. Once, I was very envious of her life: she had a stable job in a small town, a spacious house, and most importantly, she could walk to work without constantly rushing on the subway. I often regretted my choice, but there was no way, I could only smile and keep moving forward. Over time, I gradually liked the big city.

Unexpectedly, the friend was also envious of me. Small towns have small towns' limitations, and there are many trivial things that annoy people. Later in the conversation, we both sighed equally, and it was not an accident. Everyone has their own difficulties, and you may not necessarily understand their lives.
