Modern Poetry "The Resignation of Rice, Oil, and Salt"

How many love stories of shipwreck and ruin?
Are they broken by rice, oil, and salt?
How many empty promises?
Can't withstand the monotony of everyday life?
Two people love each other
But find it hard to fall in love with each other's families
Two people say nothing to each other
Just because time has worn away love?
Your mom isn't my mom
Do you wash dishes or do you wash clothes and sweep the floor?
Why bother with such a clear separation?
Because you've stopped loving each other
Because you're tired
Because it turns out 'love until death' isn't always true?
Because of what outsiders don't know
Is more attractive?
What a ridiculous logic?
We lost to rice, oil, and salt
We lost to everyday life
Year after year
But if we didn't have rice, oil, and salt
What would we eat?
To live
Besides rice, oil, and salt, what else?
Rice, oil, vinegar, tea
Music, painting, calligraphy, poetry, wine and flowers
It's a pity
We are just ordinary people
Besides rice, oil, and salt, nothing else.
