What a Beautiful Life

Having a chat with a friend, a common topic was about waiting until we're fifty, settling down our parents and our own children, and then shedding all worldly concerns to roam the world, seeing everything along the way, and ultimately allowing ourselves to fully integrate with nature.

Of course, going on a journey across the world would be tiring for the body, but the heart would be filled with joy. Ideally, we'd have our own little cart, providing shade and protection, with essentials for life inside, allowing us to live wherever we went, eating simple, rustic food, enduring hardship, and walking through the, witnessing sunrises and sunsets, observing the laws of the world, and perhaps finding a balance in life.

I've often thought about this idea of wandering the world, which is different from the many livestreamers currently pushing carts or walking on tires. They're seeking attention, while I'm pursuing a simpler, more peaceful life, meeting different people, seeing different scenery, and gaining insights into the laws of heaven and earth, seeking a balance in life.

I've wondered if there are many others who share this thought – walking is living, and in that walking, life is found. Perhaps there's no ultimate destination; eventually, we'd become too tired to walk, so we'd find a secluded paradise, build a simple thatched hut, raise a few chickens, and grow vegetables and flowers, reading books, drinking tea, and contemplating the meaning of life. Of course, food wouldn't always be plentiful, but a person alone could satisfy their own needs.

However, if a companion were to join us, it would be even better. Besides reading and drinking tea, we could reminisce about our past lives, without contending with the world, far from the hustle and bustle, quietly guarding our hearts, and calmly finishing our lives.

After traveling to many places, I've discovered such paradises – for example, an elderly man living by the Longpao Reservoir in Zhangpu County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. Where the mountains are beautiful and the water is clear, the climate is warm, and deep in the mountains, an old man who watches the reservoir lives there, growing his own vegetables and flowers, fishing, brewing tea, and cooking for himself, while relaxing and watching television. It's a life that's truly appealing and satisfying.

Life is full of desires, and pursuing tranquility is about letting go of all wants and needs, which in turn eliminates worries. Quietly reflecting and savoring life is perhaps the most beautiful and ideal way of living.
