A few days before the vernal equinox, there was still a chilly atmosphere, with the wind whistling through the branches and roots of the old trees, and a heavy snowfall the night before, which quickly melted in the morning sun.
March 5th, the vernal equinox, heralds the revival of all things and a refreshing spring breeze.
The chill wind no longer felt cold, and the warm sunlight caressed the face, creating a sense of poetry.
Perhaps it was due to the rise in temperature; the birds' chirping became particularly crisp and clear, breaking the morning's tranquility.
The willows have sprouted pale green leaves, with fluffy willow catkins nestled between each pair, hanging in strings along the drooping branches – surely to delight countless young men and women? And who knows what poets and heroes they might inspire!
In the fields, the wheat seedlings have turned green again, spreading their leaves to cover the ground, with white poplars standing among them, displaying delicate purple buds, like chrysalises about to break open, adorning the somewhat monotonous branches.
If you were to take a walk with a dear friend, inviting them to stroll through the fields and along the Yellow River banks, enjoying the scenery, basking in the warmth of the sun – how delightful!
Plant life is incredibly resilient. As spring arrives, they eagerly sprout, displaying a range of colors – pale green, pink, purple, and even rose red – all showcasing their beauty.
If compared to love, March is like a first love: restrained, shy, subtly sweet, and full of romance. The youthful yearning and delicate beauty of young women are like the graceful willows, while the earnestness and stature of young men resemble the upright white poplars. Amidst the willows, they appear and disappear, creating a unique landscape.
If compared to life, March is a time of gestation: all buds and eggs long for maturity and strength, striving to stand tall, hoping to have their own space.
March can nurture dreams and hope, and witness life's miracles;
In 2020, March was a turning point for life, a month where a winter's confinement suddenly burst forth. History may forget your grace, but it will forever record your turning point and miracle.
March, soon to shed its mask, salutes you! Wishing you well!
