Three Things to Do When Things Go Wrong

When we were young, the older generation told us that if young people go out, they will be like graduates who haven't found a job for two or three years – a miserable situation. Their shoes are worn, their suits and jeans are faded, and their hair is long. They then go around distributing applications, and you can tell at a glance that they are a miserable young man.
When you encounter such a miserable situation, what should you do? Trim your hair neatly; wash your clothes, even if it's only one piece, and iron it neatly in the evening. Then, in the morning, you'll look energetic. If you tell them you've eaten, they'll think you're energetic. When you encounter some bosses, they'll think you're okay.
Modern education has gone wrong from the beginning, so this generation of young people don't even know how to speak. In ancient times, education started with sweeping, coping, conversation, and how to treat people. 'Maintain their attire and appearance, respect their gaze and expression.' This attire and appearance is very important, cleanliness and neatness first.
Often I see modern young people wearing good clothes, but they wear them haphazardly, just like impressionist paintings – it's inexplicable. The same goes for their offices. Their desks are messy and disorganized, they don't bother to tidy up. A company can tell a lot about a workplace just by looking at the office. If you don't maintain a clean and lively environment, it's half the battle lost.
For example, today I met someone and greeted them. We talked for a few sentences, and then I saw their expression was wrong, their words were wrong, so I left immediately, avoiding them. I know they were upset, and I was still waiting for them, which wouldn't give them a good impression. It's important to maintain a good impression when meeting someone.
When doing business for many years, sometimes you need to borrow money. 'Ask a big man for help,' if you have good friends, ask them for money, 'Do you have money? I urgently need it. If not, go and help me borrow!' This is a good friend. I wouldn't wait for someone to come and ask me for pity.
Full of energy, maintain a good impression when meeting someone, don't appear to be a miserable beggar. When applying for a job, don't look down, don't even be able to speak. Young people should speak, be generous and bold, and if you make a mistake, just say 'I'm sorry, I don't understand!' That's the right attitude.
Mencius said, 'People are always making mistakes, and then they can correct them.' People shouldn't be afraid of making mistakes, a big man will step forward to correct them, then they will 'feel distressed, ponder and consider,' then they can calmly think about it, 'ponder and consider,' and then they can rise up and do great things, become a great person.'
'Present your appearance, express your voice, then understand.' A person's success in business is not as simple as observing the environment and various situations. In individual cases, even if you are hit, you must maintain a good demeanor and appearance. I often tell my students that an old scholar told me, 'A young man has a lot of energy, but his nails will grow quickly when he's weak.' Young people have strong vitality, their hair grows quickly, and their nails grow quickly when they're not nourished. So, the old scholar told me, 'When you're down, don't sleep, trim your hair, trim your nails.' If you're down and doing nothing, letting your hair and nails grow long, it will only make things worse. This is 'present your appearance, express your voice.' Then, 'understand,' you learn from observing others' situations and the environment.
