Want to Quit, But Lack the Courage! This Isn't the Life I Want, Where Does Life Go?

Original | Hao Bo Reading

I know a friend who recently called me, saying he was in trouble. He was looking for a new job because promotions were difficult, and his work was repetitive and lacked any opportunity for self-improvement. Furthermore, he had to interact with many management layers, fearing mistakes and potential trouble. He lives in constant anxiety. However, he couldn't bring himself to quit, fearing he wouldn't know anything outside his industry and worried about starting from scratch after losing years of hard work and accumulation. He felt a great deal of regret.

I understand my friend's situation completely. However, he is entirely responsible for it. Life, whether it's career or life, will inevitably encounter various difficulties. Most people choose to endure or ignore them, just like my friend. But once a difficulty arises, if it's not addressed, it will continue to gather strength and watch over you menacingly. Once it gathers momentum, it will bite you like a hungry tiger, and your outcome will be scarred.

Suffering is a form of cultivation; adversity is a process of reflection. It's important to pause and take stock of the surrounding environment, analyze personal strengths and weaknesses, and have an objective understanding of one's current situation and position. Stabilize yourself, avoid impulsive actions, and if you make unrealistic choices, it's likely to deepen your predicament.

After all, change of fate isn't about luck, but about choice.

Besides stabilizing behavior, we must immediately abandon endless complaining, allowing our hearts to become completely calm. Endless complaining wastes energy, counteracts positive energy, and can make you appear dispirited and vulnerable, turning you into a joke for others to ridicule. Remember, when you're discouraged, no one except your loved ones will truly feel your pain, and no one will proactively understand and help you. This is the game rule of the adult world—everyone is an actor, concealing their emotions beneath a mask, treating others with a superficially pleasant demeanor.

Time flows like a river, life flows like water.

In a lifetime, it's inevitable that we will encounter difficulties. When facing difficulties, the best approach is to confront them and overcome adversity, living the life we desire.

British poet Byron once said, 'Adversity is a path to truth.'

Since difficulties are unavoidable, and no one can truly help us escape them, let's take a gamble for ourselves. Let go of concerns, let go of prejudices, let go of facades, let go of worldly opinions, and start from the heart. Ask yourself what kind of life you want, then overcome adversity and move forward, starting from this moment to make changes.

If you know where you're going, the world will clear a path for you.

If you're unhappy with your current self, feeling lazy, lacking ambition, or deficient in a particular ability, unable to live the life you've hoped for, then we'll list the conditions required for that desired life, analyze what it takes to achieve those conditions—what we need to do, and what obstacles exist. You can completely ignore the current predicament because you've shifted your focus to the future, and the present is merely a process of upgrading conditions. Of course, to make this process more interesting, you can find someone whose current life situation and desired state are close, using them as a role model, and setting your goals. Afterwards, you simply need to work steadily, level up through battles, gain more experience and equipment, constantly improve your level and strength, and gradually move towards your goal, continuously catching up.

It's a tragedy that you once could, but couldn't. When life ends, all that remains is a sigh.

Starting now, don't be afraid of difficulties, or even care about them too much, but instead treat difficulties as your personal enlightenment—allowing them to transform and shape you, creating the life you desire. As the saying goes, 'You have to suffer before you can taste sweetness.' Many people spend their lives in ways they don't like, living in cramped environments, working in miserable jobs, or marrying or dating someone they don't love, enduring a monotonous day-to-day existence. Until they realize their physical strength and mental capacity are exhausted, and they want to change, but find it's too late. Youth has passed, time has passed, and all that remains is regretful resignation and a life of wasted and superficial living.

No one will think about your future; your life is determined entirely by yourself.

Instead of envying others' lives, let yourself live the way others envy you. Starting now, this moment, break free from difficulties, overcome adversity, and live the life you want most.
