What are the differences between people who frequently read books and those who don't?
My view is that there's a significant difference between the two. People who read books frequently have agile minds, broad knowledge, and a different way of speaking and communicating, along with their insights. The immersion from reading provides a depth that material cannot fulfill; it elevates one's demeanor. Conversely, people who don't read books tend to have more rigid viewpoints, often stuck within their own thinking, lacking innovation and communication skills.

I want to become a frequent reader.
China is experiencing rapid development, and mobile phones have practically permeated our daily lives. It's fair to say that the rise of mobile phones has squeezed the space for books. Some argue that mobile phones offer abundant information and new perspectives, replacing the need for books. I don't deny this point, but I can confidently say that the power of books isn't something a mobile phone can replace.
Let me share my personal experience. This year, I set a goal of reading 100 books, and so far, I've read about 60. Due to my work writing for self-media, it's been challenging to maintain a consistent pace. However, over this past year, I've generally spent 1-2 hours reading in the evenings after work. Initially, I didn't notice much change, but as time went on, I realized my thinking had become much broader, and my perspectives on things were becoming more expansive and clear. Moreover, the knowledge and insights from the books have been particularly helpful to me, changing the way I approach problems and offering a more objective and positive view.
Furthermore, through reading, I've improved my writing skills and enhanced my language expression abilities. I'm more confident speaking in public settings. Because you read more books, your mind naturally has a framework, and you can articulate your thoughts with better language.
This is the joy and improvement that reading brings me. I will continue to persevere and integrate reading as a part of my life.

People who don't read books often make excuses.
People who don't read books can often come up with many reasons. For example, they say they can get information through mobile phones, or they claim they don't have time. These are just excuses.

Of course, everyone has the right to choose their own lifestyle. You can choose not to read books, but the knowledge gained through reading is your own, and the improvements you receive through reading are also your own. The enjoyment you get from reading is also your own. Through reading, you can broaden your insights, and through reading, you can hone your professional skills, and through reading, you can make your thinking more expansive, which is beneficial for your work and life. I encourage those who don't read books to read a few books and cultivate a good habit of reading and learning.
