Underwater Retrieval
1. Enemy's left attack, left straight punch to my head. I use my left hand, left hand downward circling, suppress the opponent's arm (Fig. 5-64, Fig. 5-65), then quickly turn forward and up, or poke/punch the enemy's head, face, while my left foot steps forward (Fig. 5-66).

Heart Intent Fist Style This Form's Action RequirementsThe left hand's pressing action must be small and sudden, closely linked with the forward striking of the enemy's face, like one action.
2. Enemy's left attack, left straight punch to my head. I use my left hand, left hand downward circling, suppress the opponent's arm, at the same time. My right punch from below upward strikes the enemy's rib cage, my left foot steps forward further (Fig. 5-67, Fig. 5-68).

3. The enemy attacks from behind with a punch to my head (Fig. 5-69). I use my left hand, left foot steps back to a step, body suddenly turns 180 degrees, right palm follows the turn to press forward downward, at the same time, my left punch from my chest forward, directly strikes the enemy's face (Fig. 5-70). Then, my right punch further forward strikes the face, while my right foot steps forward (Fig. 5-71).

ExplanationWhen turning, the punch delivered with the left hand may not always hit the enemy. But it is essential to cultivate the habit of attacking and defending in unison. If you simply focus on defense, you should only do what is necessary to prevent the opponent from harming you, but you will not pose any threat to the opponent. The purpose of attacking and defending in unison is not just to satisfy self-preservation, but we want to put pressure on the opponent, let it know the existence of danger.
4. Enemy with an overstep right punch strikes me to the head, chest. I use my left hand quickly retracting to my right foot, at the same time, my left hand from above backward holds the opponent's attacking arm, my right punch from below upward strikes the enemy's lower jaw or head, face (Fig. 5-72, Fig. 5-73).

Heart Intent Fist Style This Form's Action RequirementsThe left foot retracting and the actions of the two hands must be done simultaneously. Pay attention to the coordination of the waist strength. After landing, the body must have a seated stance, to prevent the opponent's strength from scattering the battle stance. If the enemy's strength is too strong, I can step on the enemy's feet and then take the opportunity to seriously injure the enemy.
5. The enemy kicks me to the front of my chest. I use my left hand, a small step to the left, my left hand follows the enemy's kicking action to support his big leg or leg bend. Then, my right foot oversteps forward stepping out, at the same time, my right arm from its lower leg passes through, using my right hand to strike the enemy's collarbone (Fig. 5-74, Fig. 5-75), or to continuously push upward with my arm to strike it, causing the enemy to lose balance and fall (Fig. 5-74, Fig. 5-75).
Bracket Cannon
1. Enemy's left attack, with me facing each other. I use my right hand as a lead hand, pointing to the enemy's face, to lure the opponent to take action and defend (Fig. 5-35). Then, I use my right hand to insert through the enemy's face (Fig. 5-36).

I use my right hand to press down and pull, to trigger the opponent's body, my left punch forcefully strikes the enemy's chest, at the same time, my left foot steps forward one step (Fig. 5-37, Fig. 5-38).

Action RequirementsThe left hand should be light, without excessive force. If the opponent is slow to react, my left hand will insert through the enemy's face. However, it rarely hits. If the left hand does not hit, the right hand follows up, forming one hand advancing and one hand retreating as a habit. The hand advancing should have a chopping action, and the returning hand should have a pulling action. But do not grab and hold, and do not entangle the opponent. One pull and then release, the intention is to trigger the opponent's center of gravity, and improve the hitting effect.
2. The enemy attacks with a right punch to me. I use my left hand, left hand from below forward chopping the enemy's right arm, then my left foot steps forward, my body suddenly turns 180 degrees, my right palm follows the turn to press forward downward, at the same time, my left punch from my chest forward, directly strikes the enemy's rib cage (Fig. 5-50, Fig. 5-51).

3. The enemy's left hand grabs my chest (Fig. 5-55). I use my left hand, my waist rotates first to the right, my hands and arms are pressed downward to the right of the opponent's grabbing arm. Then, my waist suddenly rotates, using my left punch to chop the enemy's left neck (Fig. 5-56). Then, my right punch chops the enemy's chest and abdomen (Fig. 5-57).
4. The enemy encircles me with a mountain face continuous hand-to-hand arm hold (Fig. 5-58). I lower my body, grasping the ground with five toes, first using my hand to strike the enemy's collarbone (Fig. 5-59). Then, my two arms suddenly spread apart in front and behind, using my elbows to strike the enemy's chest and abdomen (Fig. 5-60).

Heart Intent Fist Style This Form's Action RequirementsThe body must quickly sink down to prevent the enemy from grappling, and the rotation of the left and right should be connected tightly. Be quick and sudden, do not delay time. If the enemy's strength is too strong, I can step on the enemy's feet and then take the opportunity to seriously injure the enemy.
5. The enemy attacks from behind and encircles me with a hand-to-hand arm hold (Fig. 5-61). I lower my body, first using my hand to strike the enemy's collarbone (Fig. 5-62), then suddenly turn my waist, turn my two arms suddenly spread apart in front and behind, using my elbows to strike the enemy's abdomen (Fig. 5-63).
