More Delicious Than Fried Dough Sticks and Simpler Than Fried Sweet Flowers - Successfully Made the First Time! Crispy and Fragrant Leaf Pastries

This crispy and fragrant snack, fried leaf-shaped pastries, was successful the first time I made it! It’s tastier than fried dough sticks and simpler than fried sweet flowers.

What have we consumed the most these days? Friends would probably say it’s Mom’s noodles – I’ve completely used up her noodles, which she could have used for a whole year! What have everyone else’s mothers done? Have they made cold skin noodles? Was face washing done? Were leaf ears fried? Were oil sticks made? Today we’re making leaf pastries! Let’s get the noodles ready quickly.

The recipes for leaf pastries and lotus root chips are similar, but leaf pastries can be made sweet. The shaping techniques are different, so everyone can try them. It's my first time making them, and I made all sorts of shapes based on my mood. The more I make them, the happier I get! Why don’t you all try it too? You can invite your husband, children, and mother to try it together – it’s so harmonious, isn’t it wonderful?

Traditional Snack – Fried Leaf PastriesIngredients: 300g high-gluten flour or common flour, 120g cold water, 2 eggs, 4g salt, 30g black sesame, 1 small spoonful of salt powder.

Instructions:

1. First, let’s prepare the ingredients. This time I’m making a savory sesame flavor, but if you want to make it sweet, add some sugar – it’s also delicious! The amount in the recipe is a bit large, it’s suitable for families, if it’s a three-person household, reduce the ingredients by half as shown in the picture. Don’t eat too much to avoid getting a fire. Everyone should drink plenty of water and keep their throats moist these days.

2. Mix all the ingredients into a dough. You don’t need to knead out gluten, but you should knead it to be relatively smooth. This will ensure that the dough is smooth and flat after being spread. This dough is very hard, so I suggest letting the strong laborers in the house operate it, such as your husband, they can roll it easily. Try to roll it as thin as possible!

3. Spread the thin dough into small square pieces about 2cm x 4cm wide. Make a cut in the middle, then thread one end of the dough into it, which can be made into a shape. Later, I played around with many shapes, you can also express yourself according to your mood. There’s no regulation, do whatever you feel like. But you must remember that the dough should be thin!

4. Heat the oil temperature to 50% heat, switch to the smallest fire, one by one put in the leaf pastries. Before putting it in, you can pull it longer, because the longer it is pulled, the thinner it gets, and the crispier it is!

5. After putting in the dough, it will float, from white to golden yellow, when both sides are golden yellow, take it out and drain the oil.

6. Isn’t it super simple? It’s shorter in time than oil sticks and even shorter than cold skin noodles, so if you see this recipe today, I suggest you take action immediately and make a batch, you can eat it while watching TV. It can also be eaten for breakfast with bean curd milk – it’s delicious!
