Easy Steps to Make Delicious Sour and Spicy Noodles for Beginners

Sour and spicy noodles, many people like to eat it because it’s sour and spicy, which is very appetizing.

Today, my roommate is off work, and I don't want to cook at home. I'm stuck for a while. She suggested we have sour and spicy noodles, it’s been a long time since I’ve eaten it!

When I thought about it, this could work, it’s simple, and it will take less than a minute to cook.

We went downstairs to buy ingredients together. We live in an old neighborhood, and it's just a few steps down to the vegetable market, which is very convenient to buy groceries.

Sour and spicy noodles can be a little less for me to eat, but if I eat too much, I'll really want to eat meat!

'Sour and Spicy Noodles'

Ingredients: Red noodles, cilantro, ginger, garlic, chili oil, soy sauce, fragrant flower oil, sesame oil, vinegar, five-spice powder, pork fat, salt, vegetable leaves

  • Step 1: Prepare ingredients

First, chop the ginger and garlic into pieces and put them in a small bowl with an appropriate amount of salt, stir until mixed, and marinate, this step is to let the ginger and garlic be activated, so that they won’t have a pungent smell when eating later.

Wash the cilantro and cut it into small segments and set it aside, wash the vegetable leaves and set them aside too.

Sometimes when I make sour and spicy noodles, I add some preserved vegetable granules, peanut granules (yellow bean granules), sesame seeds. Today I didn’t have the ingredients, so I didn’t prepare them.

  • Step 2: Fire up

Turn on the fire, add water to the pot, boil the red noodles, add an appropriate amount of pork fat and salt.

When the red noodles are almost cooked, you can put the vegetable leaves in to cook together.

  • Step 3: Seasoning

While the red noodles are cooking, you can start seasoning. The taste of sour and spicy noodles depends on the sauce.

First, put the marinated ginger and garlic in the bowl, then add a spoonful of chili oil, an appropriate amount of five-spice powder, soy sauce, fragrant flower oil, fragrant flower oil, vinegar, cilantro, and stir until mixed.

Chili oil is usually made at home, I won’t explain it in detail here, I’ll share my method with you when I have the opportunity.

  • Finally: Serve

Add some pink soup to the bowl with the seasoning that is well-seasoned, and then put the vegetable leaves on the bottom of the bowl, then put the cooked red noodles on the vegetable leaves.

If you have preserved vegetable granules, peanut granules (yellow bean granules), sesame seeds, you can add them on the noodles, which is beautiful and the taste will be better.

Note that yellow bean granules are roasted peanuts (yellow beans). You need to roast the peanuts in a pot and cut them into small pieces.

Finally, mix the red noodles with the seasoning and you can start eating~
