Method:

Pour the yeast powder into 40°C warm water and stir until it dissolves. Pour in a mixture of corn flour and white flour.
Knead the flour into a smooth dough. Then place it in a slightly warm place to ferment. In winter, the room temperature is relatively low, let’s share a little trick: After fermenting the dough, place it in the steamer to ferment, about 30 minutes is enough.

While the dough is fermenting, we can process the filling. Cut the red dates into pieces and chop the raisins, and mix them together.

Take out the fermented dough and add the filling, knead it until it's well mixed.
Divide the kneaded dough into roughly the same size pieces and shape them into the desired shape. Lay corn leaves in the steamer, place the corn buns on the corn leaves, cover the lid, and bring the water to a warm temperature for fermentation for 20 minutes.
