Add Flour to Millet to Make Fragrant and Crispy Snacks – Everyone, Including Kids, Loves Them!

Time flies by so quickly, and soon it's Qingming Festival. Although the Qingming Festival holiday is three days long, we still prefer to stay at home, because there are too many people outside and it's too much trouble. So, if we stay at home, we can make small snacks. The most boring thing to do when we're at home is to have nothing to do, so snacks are the best way to fill the void. Watching TV while eating snacks is really comfortable, much better than going out to wander around. Before, I've introduced several simple snacks. Today's snack is equally easy to make, and the ingredients are super simple.

Today I'm sharing a snack called 'Xiaomi Guoba' (Millet Crisps). When you hear 'Guoba,' many people have childhood memories. It was the snack we loved the most when we were in school – crispy and delicious millet crisps. But now, if we want to eat Guoba, we can make it ourselves at home. There are many ways to make Guoba, and this time I used millet. We need to process the millet, add some flour, and fry it in a pan. The result is a delicious and crispy millet crisp. The process is super simple. Inside the millet, add some flour to make it crispy, a snack that everyone loves, old and young!

Now, many supermarkets also sell Guoba, but the taste is not as good as before. It contains a lot of additives. So, if you want to eat Guoba, it's better to make it at home, so you can make as much as you want, and during the Qingming Festival holiday, making snacks can also be an opportunity to invite children to make snacks together, which can improve children's hand-eye coordination and make children feel a sense of accomplishment when they make snacks themselves. Qingming holiday stays at home and uses millet to make crispy snacks that everyone loves. Let's take a look at the specific method of making Xiaomi Guoba.

Step 1: First, wash the millet clean and put it in the rice cooker with the same amount of water as when cooking rice. Cook until the water is completely absorbed, and then set aside.

Step 2: Add a spoonful of thirteen spice, a little salt, and an egg to the millet. Then, add an appropriate amount of flour, adding the flour gradually until you can form a millet dough.

Step 3: On a cutting board, sprinkle a lot of flour, place the millet dough on it, and press it with a rolling pin to make a relatively thin and large thin pancake.

Step 4: Then, use a knife to cut it into small pieces and put it aside. You can cut it into the size you like.

Step 5: Heat a little edible oil in a pan. When the oil is 50% hot, put the millet crisps in to fry. During the frying process, you need to flip them over to ensure even heating. Fry until golden brown, and then you can take them out.

Step 6: After taking them out, sprinkle a lot of cumin powder and chili powder (or other seasonings you like) on top while they're still hot, and let them cool down before eating. They are particularly crispy.

The millet crisps that come out of the pan have a particularly crispy texture and are very crunchy. Both old and young people love them. The making method is also super easy. If you don't like fried snacks, you can cut them into small pieces and put them in the oven to bake, and the taste is also good. If you like to eat Guoba, try making it yourself at home. The method is simple and the taste is crispy.
