Refreshing, Delicate, and Sweet Apple Recipe - Spring Classic Dessert, So Delicious It's Almost Painful!
The happiest thing in the world is to enjoy a spring picnic with loved ones, stepping on green grass under the warm sunshine. A picnic naturally includes desserts and fruits, and it's wonderful to cleverly incorporate fruits into baking for a new taste.
Tea-Tea loves crisp, delicate, and sweet apples, with low calories and good texture. Today, I'm sharing a Snow Rose Apple Crisp with you. It's absolutely loved for both its appearance and taste!
Snow Rose Apple Crisp
Ingredients:
Low-gluten flour 150g, Butter 60g, Honey 50g, White Sugar 15g, White Sugar 5g, Water 45g, Large Red Apples 1, Icing Sugar (powdered sugar) to taste
Instructions:
1. Prepare the following ingredients.
2. Wash the large red apples and measure out all the other ingredients.
3. In a dry, oil-free bowl, put the softened butter, low-gluten flour, and 15g white sugar.
4. Mix the three ingredients evenly by hand and form crumbs.
5. Add water and form a dough, and let it rest for 15 minutes.
6. During this time, peel the core out of the apples and cut them into at least 42 thin slices like the picture.
7. Then immerse the cut apple slices in salt water to prevent oxidation.
8. Now, in a frying pan, heat over low heat with honey and 5g white sugar.
9. Then add the drained apple slices and stir-fry until the apple slices soften, and then remove.
10. After the apple slices soften, transfer them to a bowl and cool.
11. Then roll out the rested dough into a 20x30cm rectangular pastry, and cut it into 20x5cm long and wide strips (as shown in the picture).
12. Arrange seven apple slices on one wide strip, layering them on top of each other (as shown in the picture).
13. Brush the remaining thick syrup on top.
14. Then fold the lower pastry upwards and wrap it around the apple slices, then roll it up from one end.
15. This completes one apple rose. Continue to complete the rest of the wide strips using the same method (42 apple slices will make six apple roses).
16. Finally, place it in the bottom rack of the oven, 170°C (340°F) for 30 minutes.
17. After baking, sprinkle some icing sugar on top, and the roses will look even more beautiful!
Recipe Tips: 1. When choosing apples, you must choose red ones. Cut the apple slices into thin pieces to make the rose petals look better. 2. When stir-frying the apple slices, always use low heat and stir-fry until they soften, otherwise, they won't roll up properly. 3. When rolling out the pastry, each strip must be wider than 5cm to wrap the rose flowers. 4. When baking the rose flowers, adjust the temperature and time according to your oven's characteristics.
