Easy Red Date Steamed Cake - Using Common Household Ingredients
Staying home, seeing pictures of delicious food posted by others in my WeChat Moments, I suddenly had an idea to make bread. I searched a lot of information, but many of them required some 'strange and fancy' ingredients.
However, for an ordinary family, besides some basic cooking ingredients, there aren't any others. So, I modified the steps on the internet and came up with the following successful first red date steamed cake!

Let's not talk too much, let's start with the specific steps below!
First, prepare 150 grams of ordinary flour, 50 grams of red sugar, one egg, 4 grams of yeast, and 100 grams of warm water (must be warm water, hot water will easily make the yeast).
Second, pour the red sugar into the warm water, and pour the yeast into the warm water, stirring until no particles remain

Third, beat the egg into the flour

Fourth, pour the above stirred red sugar water into the flour bowl, using chopsticks to stir until it looks roughly like the second picture

Fifth, find another fermentation pot, grease the pot with oil, and then pour the above stirred flour paste into the pot
At a temperature of around 30 degrees, ferment for 1 hour, watching the batter become obviously risen is fine

Sixth, randomly put red dates in the pot. Bring water to a boil in a pot, and then place the pot in boiling water for 30 minutes on high heat, and then, a fragrant red date steamed cake is out of the pot!
