Don't Fry Leftover Rice - Make Crispy Snacks That Last for Days!
Don't stir-fry leftover rice, make it into a snack, crispy and chewy for teeth, a serving can last for two or three days
A bowl of rice, a spoonful of soy sauce, mix it up, easily make crispy snacks, delicious
Recently, everyone has been following the trend of stockpiling food. Dad bought thirty catties of soybeans and a bag of fifty catties of rice and a bag of fifty catties of flour a few days ago, and he called me to ask me to buy some rice and noodles to stockpile. I told him it's okay, as the weather is getting hot, various rice and noodles are not resistant to storage, they will rot, buy as you eat
Today's small snack is made from leftover rice. My leftover rice is usually used to make fried rice, porridge, or this kind of snack is the first time I've made it, but I was surprised that the taste is really good. Add rice with soy sauce and mix, bake in the oven, the texture is crispy and chewy, better than pot bottom. I made a serving with one bowl of rice, and it can last for two or three days! Here's the recipe to share with you below:
Rice 220g Soy sauce 15g Cooking oil 10g Salt 3g Starch 5g
1. Take warm leftover rice, put it in a bowl, add soy sauce, salt, and starch. If you use cold rice, it's recommended to heat it in the microwave for a minute to make it warm, this rice has better stickiness. You can also add chili powder, cumin powder, curry powder, sugar, etc. according to your personal taste and try different flavors.
2. Mix thoroughly. Don't use too hard rice, it's harder to clump.
3. Take oil paper or plastic wrap, spread the mixed rice evenly on it, and then cover it with oil paper or plastic wrap. Use a rolling pin to flatten it to a thin layer.
4. Use a mold or cup to press out the shape of rice cakes. I pressed the thickness about 3mm.
5. Gently transfer the pressed rice to a baking sheet. I use a non-stick baking sheet, so I just put the rice cakes on it. If you use a normal baking sheet, it's recommended to line it with oil paper inside. Brush a layer of corn oil on the surface of the rice.
6. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees, bake for 20-25 minutes. If you like crispy, you can bake it for a while, but pay attention to the state of the rice and don't burn it.
7. Take it out and wipe off the surface oil with kitchen paper, it's healthier to eat this way.
If you have a challenging tooth, you can try it, crispy and chewy!
