A Recipe for Delicious, Tender, and Not Greasy Braised Pork Belly
Today I'd like to share this delicious braised pork belly – it's delightfully tender and not greasy!
Ingredients needed:
Pork belly
Quail eggs
White sugar
Brown sugar
Soy sauce
Old soy sauce
Wine
Star anise
Cooking oil
Green onion
Steps:
1Prepare all ingredients beforehand

2Cut the pork belly into 2cm cubes, chop ginger, garlic and green onion into minced pieces

3Boil water in a pot, add 3 spoonfuls of wine, after boiling, put in pork belly for blanching, after boiling turn off the heat, remove the pork belly pieces and drain off the water for later use

4Heat oil in a pan over medium heat until 70% hot

5Add white sugar or brown sugar, stir with a spoon to make caramel color
6When the sugar bubbles and turns color, add the pork belly

7Stir-fry until evenly coated with caramel color

8Pour in soy sauce and old soy sauce and stir-fry, then add minced garlic and ginger

9Add a spoonful of white sugar to adjust the flavor, add a few star anise, stir evenly

10Pour in hot boiling water with a spoonful of salt

11After quail eggs are peeled and cleaned, put them into the pot with the pork belly and stew together

12After 45 minutes, increase the heat to thicken the sauce
13Before serving, sprinkle some green onion
