Chaozhou Shrimp Dates, Homemade, Fresh Ingredients Abundant and Delicious, Crispy Outside, Tender Inside
Today, it was incredibly boring to have a whole family sitting at home. My cousin mentioned that he used to make shrimp dates during the Chinese New Year, so Grandma started running to the market to buy fresh shrimp and started making them herself – fresh, hygienic, with plenty of ingredients and little flour.

Ingredients: 3 pounds of shrimp, an appropriate amount of lotus root, one piece of thin-skinned Chaozhou pastry, scallion bulbs (appropriate amount), a moderate amount of fatty pork, and appropriate amounts of flour.

Lotus root cut into small pieces

Scallion bulbs cut into small pieces
A moderate amount of fatty pork, cut into small pieces

Shrimp cut into small pieces, mix all the ingredients together, then add a spoonful of salt, evenly sprinkle in the flour, and it will start to become sticky.

Like this, don't add too much flour for a better taste.
Take the pastry, put the ingredients on it, roll it into a circle, and then cut it into small pieces and dip in oil to deep-fry.

Like this.

Fry until golden brown.

A huge plate full. Ready to eat, smells amazing.
Serve a plate to enjoy, and dip it with a little Chaozhou-style citrus oil to cut through the richness.

That's the citrus oil, sweet and pairs perfectly with the shrimp dates.
If you like it, give it a try! Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside – you won't be able to stop.
