Homemade Spicy Flavor Buns, Rich in Aroma, Very Simple
Ingredients: flour, star anise, Sichuan peppercorns, sesame seeds, bean sauce, chili sauce, sweet bean sauce, vegetable oil, five-spice powder, green onions
Instructions:
1. Add a little salt to the flour, and mix with warm water using chopsticks to form a dough. Add a little vegetable oil to the dough and knead into a smooth dough. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes.
2. Divide the rested dough into equal small portions, then roll them into dough skins, spread a layer of vegetable oil, then roll them into cylindrical shapes and flatten them. Use a rolling pin to roll them thin.
3. Heat up the pot with vegetable oil, when the oil temperature is 20% hot, put the dough skin into the pot and fry until both sides are golden brown and cooked.
4. Make the sauce: Add a little oil to the pot, add star anise and Sichuan peppercorns to sizzle, then add Pixian Doubanjiang, chili sauce, sweet bean sauce, five-spice powder and appropriate amount of water to fry out fragrance and remove.
5. Brush the fried dough skin with the sauce and sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds.
Tips
1. Add a little salt and vegetable oil to the flour to make the dough skin more elastic.
