Mianyang City Recommended Delicacies – Zitong Souping
Zitong Souping, originally known as Boqizi, is a traditional snack from Zitong, Sichuan, a local specialty. Zitong Souping mainly uses wheat refined flour, rapeseed oil, rendered lard, first-grade white sugar, and sesame as raw materials, and is made using traditional craftsmanship and a unique formula. Formerly baked with charcoal fire, it is now baked using infrared ovens. It has characteristics such as a full moon shape, pale yellow color, bright luster, uniform and clear crisp texture, fragrant and crispy, melts into crumbs at the entrance, and a lingering, subtle aftertaste.
