Aba Shaan News Network, Aba County, February 23rd (Yang Yanwei, Dango) Today (23rd) in the morning, the author was traveling and encountered a group of white marmots 'walking leisurely' while passing through the territory of Kohe Township, Aba County. The author photographed the white marmots 'walking leisurely' through the car window using his mobile phone.

White marmots mainly inhabit high-altitude alpine and subalpine coniferous and mixed coniferous-broadleaf forests, with an altitude of 3000-4000 meters. They are social animals and often travel in groups, especially during the winter to spring, sometimes with groups ranging from 50-60 individuals. It is reported that white marmots are also known as snow chickens. Historically, they were also called Tibetan horses. They are a native bird species in China and are rare in number and highly valued. Due to their narrow distribution range, they have been listed in the China National Key Protection Wildlife List and are classified as a national level two protected bird.

Wild animals are an important part of the natural ecosystem and a precious resource given to humans by nature. Protecting wild animals, maintaining the balance of the natural ecosystem, and relating to human survival and development are important indicators of measuring a city, a country, and even a nation's progress.
