Red-backed Redstart is a thrush species of the Redstart genus. It is distributed in Pakistan, India, Nepal, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq and mainland China's Xinjiang, generally living in the mountains, among the stones, among the stony bushes, among the thorny bushes or in the pine forests and occasionally found in plains in the forest. The species' main breeding area is in the Altai Mountains.
