Hunchun City Forestry Bureau's Animal Protection Patrol Team Strengthens Patrol Protection of Migratory Birds, Treating Over 30 White-necked Geese
On March 28th, the Hunchun Forestry Bureau's animal protection patrol team and animal protection association volunteers transported 1500 jin (approximately 750 lbs) of corn and 500 jin (approximately 250 lbs) of rice to Jingxin wetland to feed migratory birds.

Jingxin wetland in Hunchun City is located in the southeast of Hunchun City, situated on the migration routes of Australian and Central Asian migratory birds. The number of wild ducks and geese that stay here during the spring is increasing year by year. It contains valuable species such as White-tailed Eagle, Brown Eagle, Cranes, and White-necked Geese. The patrol team will strengthen the protection of the migratory bird habitat every year, and provide food in areas with a large number of migratory birds. Hunchun Forestry Bureau's animal protection patrol team captain Li Dongwei told reporters, 'Since the establishment of the Hunchun City Animal Protection Association, the team has jointly launched protection actions with the patrol team and local bird protectors in Jingxin Township every spring. As the number of migratory birds increases, the patrol area is also expanding year by year.'
It is reported that since the establishment of the Hunchun City Animal Protection Association in 2013, more than 30 White-necked Geese have been treated, and the purpose of carrying out bird protection actions is to protect the ecological environment and promote harmonious development between humans and nature. We hope that the general public can actively participate in the action of loving the environment and protecting birds, and establish a civilized consciousness, environmental consciousness, and ecological consciousness.
