On that day, the two giant pandas ‘Mao Er’ and ‘Xing Er’, who were visiting Denmark, had their first meeting and close contact at Copenhagen Zoo. Over the next few days, staff will closely monitor them in the hope that they can successfully mate. ‘Mao Er’ and ‘Xing Er’ arrived in Denmark in April 2019. Queen Margrethe II inaugurated the panda house at Copenhagen Zoo on April 10, 2019, and officially launched the Sino-Danish giant panda protection research cooperation project.
