Impressions of Ürümqi ~ Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar
Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar is located in Ürümqi City, with a total area of approximately 39888 square meters and a total construction area of approximately 100,000 square meters. The Grand Bazaar of Xinjiang is a symbol of the commercial and tourist prosperity of Xinjiang, as well as a landmark architectural landscape of Ürümqi as a city of ethnic minorities. It is a landmark building. The International Grand Bazaar has a distinct Islamic architectural style, and it has re-created the prosperity of the ancient Silk Road, based on the functional characteristics of the building and the sense of the times, and embodies the rich West Asian ethnic characteristics and regional culture. ‘Bazaar’ is Uyghur, meaning market or rural market. It is distributed throughout Xinjiang’s urban and rural areas.

The interior of the bazaar is a large market where many merchants sell Xinjiang’s characteristic goods.

Xinjiang carpets have a long history, excellent craftsmanship and are world-renowned, they are one of Xinjiang’s main export goods.
