I've always heard people say the freshest seafood is bought right after the fishing boats come ashore, so I arranged to meet a friend today to take a look. I've often visited the seaside before, but I never knew where the fishing boat docks were. After asking around, we finally confirmed that we would go to Zhanggang's fishing boat dock. My friend and I set out at 1:30 PM, driving to the seaside of Zhanggang. As soon as we arrived at the shore, the smell of seafood hit us. We saw a large area of fishing boats docked at the shore, but we didn't notice the fishermen. We saw dozens of people playing on the beach in the distance. We walked around the shore, blowing in the sea breeze and enjoying the sunlight reflecting on the fishing boats, as if the smell of sunshine had washed away the smell of seafood. We stood there for a few minutes, deciding to go up the fishing boats to see if there were any fishermen. When we were about to approach the fishing boats, we saw two people riding electric scooters coming towards us. So we called them to inquire. Through their conversation, we learned a lot. It was because the sea hadn't risen at this time, so many fishing boats were stranded and couldn't enter the sea, and the fishing boats that had already left couldn't return. The passers-by were very friendly and answered our questions and doubts with pleasure. We learned that fishing boats go out to sea and return depending on the time of tide and the weather. They wouldn't go out to sea if there was strong wind and waves. They told us that fishing boats usually stay at sea for 6 to 8 hours, which depends on the size of the boat. For example, if they leave at 9 PM, they will probably return around 4 AM the next day, and if we want to buy fresh seafood, we should come here to buy it at this time. After talking for half an hour, they also had to go about their own affairs. We expressed our gratitude and prepared to drive back. Although this trip didn't result in buying seafood, we also learned a lot, and it was not in vain.
