Five-Color Pool is located at the highest point of Huanglong, the calcium-weathered colorful pool group, with a total of 693 pools, 4166 meters away from the entrance. Here, green mountains and verdant hills, and the main peak of the Minshan Mountains, 5588 meters high, stand majestically before your eyes. Walking along the edge of the pool, countless colorful pools of varying sizes and shapes, like watercolor paintings filled with all kinds of colorful pigments, such as blue, blue-green, and light blue, are dazzling and exquisite.

The altitude of Five-Color Pool is 3900 meters, which is the highest point of Huanglong Scenic Area. It requires a certain amount of physical strength to get here, and many people give up this most beautiful viewing point halfway down the mountain due to physical exhaustion or (altitude reaction). Therefore, when climbing, you must not walk too fast and conserve your energy to prevent altitude reaction.
Geographic Location
Huanglong is located in the south slope of Minshan Mountains in the Miyi County, Aba Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, 450 kilometers from Chengdu and 120 kilometers from Jiuzhaigou. The colorful pools are formed by calcium deposits that have weathered over thousands of years and have been winding through the snow mountains and valleys for thousands of years, resembling a giant yellow dragon, hence the name Huanglong. Huanglong's altitude is above 3000 meters, with more than 3000 colorful and translucent pools, which are like colorful pearls inlaid in the primeval forest, and are called 'Heavenly Paradise on Earth.'
