Zizha Scenic Area is located in Beiluoquan County, Kunming City, Mengxiang Township, north of the Jinsha River, south of Kunming, with a radius of over a hundred miles, it is the first peak in Dianzhong, with several peaks resembling a sedan chair when viewed from a distance, hence the name. During the Tang Dynasty, Nanzhao King Ge Luo Feng, following the example of the Five Sacred Mountains, enfeoffed this mountain as Dong Yue Le Ni Bai.
The main peak of Zizha Mountain has an altitude of 4223 meters, with a relative height difference of nearly 3000 meters. Due to its unique terrain and landforms, it exhibits a stereo climate. The scenic area covers an area of 253 square kilometers, featuring clouds, Buddhist light, sunrise, ice and snow world, rhododendron seas, 'Five Wonders' of Zizha Mountain.
The towering mountains, precipitous fault-cut cliffs, vast high-altitude grasslands, graceful streams and waterfalls, mysterious high-altitude lakes, beautiful clusters of fir trees, unique and magnificent ice waterfalls, charming tropical ice and snow landscapes, and unpredictable celestial phenomena all display the grandeur, danger, ruggedness, wonder, beauty, uniqueness, and mystery of Zizha Mountain.
At the end of the Ming Dynasty and the early Qing Dynasty, some literati and artists ranked the famous sights within Luquan County in 'Eight Scenery', and Zizha Snow Mountain was renowned for its 'Beneficial Lake Accumulation of Snow' among them.
From October to mid-April of the following year, the mountain is covered with snow, and ice lakes, ice waterfalls, frost, snowfields, etc., allow the south to enjoy ice and snow landscapes.

It's a springtime adorned with flowers. Every spring, from May to June, rhododendrons, lilies, irises and other wildflowers bloom profusely on the north and south slopes of Zizha Snow Mountain.
Within a radius of eighty-plus square kilometers, rhododendrons are everywhere, especially in the core scenic area, where they are abundant and breathtaking, from the foot of the mountain to the summit, the scenery is picturesque and layered, with falling petals at the foot of the mountain, resembling flames and clouds in the middle, and blooming buds at the summit.
In the areas with altitudes of 3000-3600 meters, there are 33 species of high-altitude rhododendron shrub forests, with locally named species including Big King Rhododendron, Mengshan Broad-leaf Rhododendron, Mao Rhododendron, Mountain Rhododendron, Red-haired Rhododendron, Beautiful Rhododendron, forming large patches and creating lush forests.
Various colored rhododendrons are blooming profusely across the mountains, in clusters and patches, simply beautiful! Pink, yellow, white, scattered like stars in the gullies, on the ridges, beside the cliffs, a sight to behold!
Large patches of Mengshan fir trees stand gracefully and proudly; precipitous cliffs feature waterfalls like suspended white silk, flying and dancing, ethereal and sublime, captivating and mesmerizing.
The blue sky, white clouds, clear lake water, massive rocks, vast grasslands, and countless pink, yellow, and purple small flowers are in full bloom, along with lazy sheep and cattle herds, creating a sense of relaxation and joy.
