An Old Station – Jinghan Railway Station
I am a retired elderly person who enjoys solo trips to unfamiliar cities during leisure time, exploring the human cultural imprints hidden by the attention of others, approaching those fading human histories, and appreciating warm textual records. I don't care if it's worthwhile, I just want to avoid missing out. Four years of travel have taken me through 85 cities of varying sizes, covering a distance of 67550 kilometers across 15 provinces and municipalities, with 2052 cultural sites recorded. These shining imprints serve as a spur to my continued journey.

Hankou Old Railway Station, formerly known as the Jinghan Railway Station, is located in Da Zhi Men and was the southern terminus of the Jinghan Railway. Built in 1903, its exterior design reflects a Western neoclassical style, with four high towers built on each corner. It was once one of the most magnificent stations in Asia.

Now standing alone in the heart of modern Hankou, it has become a scenic landmark recording the history of railway stations. Here was the station building and platform of the 'Xinlu Men' station, including a solitary old waiting room and a short awning of less than 50 meters. On the side of the station, the words 'Xinlu Men' are still clearly visible. It was once one of the eight gates of Hankou.
