Rebuild a ‘Ship’! Luo Cheng Ancient Town About to Experience a Magnificent Transformation
When it comes to Luocheng Ancient Town in Leshan, it's familiar to everyone. From a high vantage point, the main street of the ancient town looks like a ship, so it's also known as 'China's Noah's Ark.' Because the ancient town is on a hillock, it's also called 'a ship on top of a hill.' Recently, I heard that a new 'ship' is being rebuilt there, and another ship-shaped street is about to appear – is this true?
This is the construction site for the 4A scenic area development project Phase 2 of Luocheng Ancient Town. Workers told reporters that a scaled-down replica of Luocheng Ancient Town will be built here. It's worth mentioning that the original Luocheng Ancient Town had a dry dock, while this newly built ship-shaped town will be a waterfront dock. In addition, a new cruise dock will be built, allowing tourists to experience the new appearance of Luocheng.
We learned that the 4A-level scenic area development project of Luocheng Ancient Town covers Luocheng Town, Seven-Star Village, Jiajia Village, and Ship-Shape Street. The project covers an area of about 97 acres and has an investment of millions of yuan. It is understood that the project will build a folk culture street, a themed hotel, tourist roads and landscape, implement night scene lighting of the ancient town, rebuild the Sichuan Imperial Temple and the South Hua Palace ruins, and in the future it will be a leisure tourism comprehensive complex integrating folk cultural style, leisure and tourism, and rural tourism, enhancing the overall tourism image of Luocheng Ancient Town.
Currently, the 4A-level scenic area development project of Luocheng Ancient Town has completed about 40% of the total project volume. The entire construction period is expected to be completed by the end of July this year. We look forward to the newly upgraded Luocheng Ancient Town presenting itself in a brand new appearance. We look forward to it…
