Mist-Filled Purple Waters and Lush Jiangxi
Dong'an County's Zixiqing Township boasts a beautiful landscape with the Yuecheng Ridge mountains on both sides and the Zi River flowing continuously in the middle. Thanks to its unique geographical advantages, it has formed a stunning scenery of flowing mist and clouds for dozens of miles.
Every autumn and winter, after the rain and with a significant temperature difference, a cloud spectacle will appear.
Zixiqing Village is 6 kilometers from the town and 13 kilometers from the county seat. It has beautiful natural scenery, profound cultural heritage, and a simple and honest folk culture. Its location advantages are obvious. It was originally formed by the merger of Longlong, Changlong, and Baodu three villages. The village's total area is 12.16 square kilometers, with 2472.5 acres of cultivated land, and 11896 acres of forest. There are 23 natural groups and 480 households with a population of 2052.
The Yuecheng Ridge mountains are two north-south mountain ranges. The Yuecheng Ridge Mountain Range spans Hunan Province's Dong'an County and Xinning County (Guangxi) and Quan Zhou County, with a length of over 200 kilometers. It is inhabited by Miao, Yao, Dong, Zhuang, and Han ethnic groups.
Zi River is a first-class tributary of the Xiang River, with a length of 72 kilometers. It meanders from the mountains and provides sufficient water vapor to generate cloud mist. When the water vapor meets dust in the air, it condenses into small water droplets, and these small droplets form the magical and spectacular scenery of flowing mist.
Towering peaks and jade belts, crisscrossing gorges are essential natural conditions for the growth of mist.
The mist enveloped the entire land, buildings, mountains, and fields, and as the sun slowly rose, a gentle breeze brushed across them, and the mist moved freely among the mountains.
