Nanhu, also known as South Lake, is located 5 kilometers southwest of Yinyang City, Henan Province, and is known as 'Yu Nan Mingzhu' () and 'Zhongyuan First Lake' (). It is a famous national AAAA-level scenic area.
The scenic area consists of South Lake and South Lake National Forest Park. It is 12 times the size of West Lake in Hangzhou. The lake features seamless integration of water and sky, with vast expanse and misty waves; on the islands, lush trees and greenery create a vibrant, verdant scene, and islands such as Bird Island, Monkey Island, and Summer Escape Island () are distributed in a scattered manner.
