What I'm going to talk about today is a very 'rustic charm' ancient town – Furong Ancient Town. Its geographical location is extremely surprising, because it's 'hanging' on a waterfall. Due to the film 'Furong Town' being filmed here, it was renamed. However, despite these points of interest, it's not particularly crowded for tourists to visit, and its fame hasn't been very large. This has allowed it to maintain a sense of tranquility. It is located in the southwestern border region of Hunan Province. The overall architecture has characteristics of the Hunan style, both humanistic and natural, and it is a purely natural state. In today's materialistic tourism, it's considered a haven.
If other ancient towns have 'small bridge and flowing water' and a feeling of quiet elegance, then Furong Ancient Town adds a bit of severity on top of that. Here, the hanging houses are on the mountain peaks, and the trees are lush and dense, covering the entire roof of the hanging houses. Standing on the hanging houses, you can overlook the waterfall flowing endlessly beside you.
The waterfall here is like clouds and jade, relying on each other and accompanied by mountains, and it changes color with the changing of rainy and sunny days and the seasons. Because of the combination of various colors, the visual enjoyment is extremely shocking. Whether it's the clear blue sky or the misty waterfall in the rain, it's a major attraction in daily life. Its scenery is not inferior to that of Fenghuang Ancient Town and is called 'Little Nanjing'
Many tourists who come to Furong Ancient Town are drawn by the fame and come to see the roaring momentum of the waterfall. The waterfall is high and has a height of 60 meters, and the entire waterfall is divided into two sections, separated by a stone wall in the middle. The town is built on top of it, which looks like the town is hanging on the waterfall. The word 'hanging' is quite ingenious and accurate.
