Wudang Maple Valley, the Maple Leaves Have Turned Red

On March 31st, urban reporters in Wudang District, Guiyang City, Fengye Valley, saw that the newly sprouted feather maple leaves were vividly red, dripping with dew, resembling fresh picks from the water.

Fengye Valley grows a variety of maple trees, and every spring, the entire valley is covered in red, attracting many tourists to admire. Among them, the feather maple, with a particularly flamboyant and graceful appearance, and exceptionally bright red color, is considered the most eye-catching. Its leaf shape resembles a bird's feather, hence its name.

It is reported that feather maple belongs to the Aceraceae family and Acer genus, a horticultural variant of Japanese maple (Chajiao maple). Feather maple is a deciduous shrub, generally no more than 4 meters tall. The crown is spreading, the leaves are finely divided, and the autumn leaves are deep yellow to orange-red. It has a neutral growth habit and prefers warm climates.
